Symposium Speakers

Joe Tanner, Head of Professional Affairs, CooperVision
Joe is an optometrist who has worked in the contact lens industry in educational and commercial roles in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. He has given presentations and workshops on contact lens topics internationally as well as owning businesses involved in contact lens distribution and optometry. A former clinical supervisor at the University of Auckland and QUT, he is also a contributing author to the textbook Contact Lens Practice by Nathan Efron. Joe is a Fellow of the British Contact Lens Association and is currently Head of Professional Affairs for CooperVision.

Hannah Mamon, Contact Lens Clinical Performance Consultant, Specsavers
Hannah graduated with a Master of Optometry from Deakin University in 2017. Prior to this she worked as an orthoptist. She has gained extensive experience across various settings, including ophthalmology, private and corporate practice. Most recently, Hannah worked as a Senior Optometrist at Specsavers, where she mentored graduates and supervised students. In her current role as Contact Lens Clinical Performance Consultant, she supports optometrists with education, workflow optimisation, and tools to grow contact lens adoption and improve patient outcomes.

Kassy Chen, Graduate Optometry Development Manager, Specsavers
Kassy Chen graduated from the University of Auckland in 2022 and began her optometry career at Tweed City Specsavers in Queensland. She now works as a Graduate Optometry Development Manager at Specsavers, where she supports first- and second-year graduates through the Graduate Program, working with primary mentors to foster clinical development, confidence, and early career success.
